Senator Bernie Sanders, two-time presidential candidate and former Mayor of Burlington, Vermont, inspired a wave of activists beginning in the Green Mountain State — and eventually, across the country. The bold, progressive spirit that came from Bernie’s campaigns has flourished with leaders like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez because Americans are demanding real change across the country.

Now, in Vermont, we have an opportunity in 2026 to elect leaders who can win back a progressive supermajority — and represent a new agenda that demands change for working people, while standing up to Trump and the oligarchy.

At Green Mountain Revolution, we aim to recreate the success of Justice Democrats at the state level by recruiting, training, and electing these leaders for the 2026 midterms. We’re looking for candidates right now to transform the state house and senate — join us!

  • Everyone deserves to live in a world where healthcare and housing are guaranteed human rights — and everyone receives a good education.

  • The genocide in Gaza must end. We will only support candidates who unequivocally support an end to the genocide, the occupation, and U.S. military aid to Israel.

  • With the rapid rise in global temperatures and the increasing threat of the climate crisis, we msut transform our energy system away from fossil fuels by making massive investments in clean energy — creating jobs across our country and Vermont.

  • With Bernie and AOC traveling the country demanding an end to corporate influence by billionaires in our economy, there’s new attention on the oligarchy. We need folks who are ready to tax the rich and fight back against the likes of Elon Musk.

  • Huge corporations and billionaires dominate our political system because of their ability to influence elections with enormous campaign contributions. We must push back and root our corporate influence in our campaign finance system. Our system is broken - and we’re ready to fix it.

How We Support Our Slate at Green Mountain Revolution

    • Spend 2025 connecting with community leaders ready to run for office

    • Strategically target swing districts and conservative incumbents who are out of touch with the needs of their district

    • Create a training series beginning in Winter 2025 to provide early resources and skills for potential 2026 runs

    • Connect candidates with strong, Vermont-based staff early in the cycle

    • Support for comms, PR, and social media

    • Provide early assistance in creating fundraising network and infrastructure

    • An initial $1,000 to cover all start-up costs

    • Unlimited slate spending to touch every voter in all targeted races

    • Green Mountain Revolution-endorsed candidates are dedicated to forwarding a bold policy agenda in the legislature

    • On the issues that matter most to working-class people, our slate is ready to be the bold change that we need right now
