Our 2024-2025 Candidates and Causes

The Vermont Progressive Party

After years of organizing for working-class power in Vermont, the Progressive Party continues to need support from like-minded activists around the country who can pitch in and power their efforts.

While the Democrats and Republicans in Vermont can rely on corporations and national organizations to bail them out, the Progressives count on people power to get the job done.

The Progressive Party is the first and only major statewide party to adopt a ceasefire resolution in the country and call for end to aid for the Israeli government - and Progressives have continued to fight for Palestinian liberation, no matter the political consequences.

As Republicans and Democrats in Vermont drift right, the need for a true voice in the legislature and across the Green Mountain State that uplifts working people is more urgent now than ever. While the national narrative often portrays Vermont as a left-wing safe haven, we did not win these victories by magic. We stood up - we organized - and we won.

The Progressive Party has created a model that could be carried to many other states across the country. But to do that, we must support the party here to help foster and build on the decades of success that Vermonters have made in building independent power outside of the two-party system.

Heather Moore for State House - Franklin 7

Heather Moore is an afterschool education director, community leader, and an incumbent Enosburg Falls Village Trustee. Having been a long-standing community builder, Heather understands that this race isn’t about just her - it’s about her neighbors, their kids, and the future of our state. Heather, in a rural district, has embraced our bold third-party movement to make change in the state house.

Heather is running to unseat a Republican in the state house who skipped a vote to protect abortion rights and has consistently opposed necessary, progressive changes to our tax system. Unsurprisingly, he has sided with the Vermont GOP and refused to demand a ceasefire during the 2024 session.

With so much on the line - a choice between a pro-choice, pro-democracy, pro-peace Progressive and an anti-choice, anti-democratic, and hawkish Republican - we must rally to Heather’s side and help her build a vibrant campaign that can take on the Vermont Republicans and win.

Heather is the Progressive Party’s chance to pick up a rural seat this year. Democrats and Republicans know that our movement is growing and now, Heather has a chance to shock the duopoly - showing that, right now, Progs can win everywhere. We need Heather in the House.

Missa Aloisi for State House - Chittenden 17

Missa Aloisi is an architect, Progressive Party member, and resident of the Old North End - Burlington’s long-time Progressive stronghold. As a Queer person and mom, Missa is standing up for working families and people left out and left behind by our systems. We need Missa in the state house - now more than ever.

For the Progressive Party, this is a critical seat. The current Democratic “incumbent” was appointed to this seat after a Progressive resigned: Emma Mulvaney-Stanak to become Mayor of Burlington, Vermont’s largest city. Now, Missa is running with Mayor Mulvaney-Stanak’s endorsement to win this seat back for working people, rather than her opponent who continues to accept help from conservatives.

The truth is that the establishment has been throwing time and resources behind Missa’s opponent - they know that the biggest threat to the status quo is a strong Progressive Party. Now, Democrats are panicked that despite their best efforts to influence the primary, Missa is running as a proud Progressive in the general election.

That’s why Green Mountain Revolution PAC has endorsed Missa for State House and we are working to ensure her victory on November 5th. We need your help to get us there.
